AMLI is lead by a team of accomplished executives who bring diverse professional experience in the insurance industry to the firm’s management and operations.
John Ollis, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Ollis brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in insurance sales and underwriting to his role as CEO of AMLI. He previously led a staff of more than 100 at the New York City sales office of UNUM, where he was responsible for annual revenues of over $500 million. He also is a former member of the Board of Directors of First UNUM.
Michael Murphy, President, Chief Operating Officer
Prior to joining AMLI, Mr. Murphy was Senior Vice President of National Accounts for Coventry Health Care. He brings a diverse healthcare and insurance background with 27 years of experience in sales, marketing, operations and underwriting for companies like CIGNA and United Healthcare.
Rachel A. Amalfitano, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Amalfitano is a Certified Public Accountant with 15 years of experience across all accounting disciplines. She began her career in the Audit and Advisory Services practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP and subsequently held Management positions within the Finance Departments of EmblemHealth, Inc. and Wellpoint, Inc. She holds a B.A. in Public Accounting from Colorado State University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Hofstra University.
Robert Ostrander, Executive Vice President
Mr. Ostrander has deep expertise in product development, marketing and underwriting, developed during his 40-year career in the industry. He is a former Executive Vice President of UNUM Life Insurance Company and also was a Managing Director for Corporate Compensation Plans in Danbury, Conn.
David Rather, Executive Vice President of Distribution & Sales
Mr. Rather has more than 26 years of experience in sales, marketing and consulting within the employee benefits industry with sales leadership roles at UNUM and Cigna Group Insurance. Prior to coming to AMLI, he founded The RBC Group – a consulting practice that works with organizations to increase their profitable revenue streams.
Medina Jett, Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Ms. Jett has over 20 years of diverse experience in financial services and insurance. Her background includes senior legal, compliance and claims roles at Aetna, Cigna and The Hartford Group Insurance Division. Immediately prior to joining AMLI, Ms. Jett was the founder and president of Integrated Compliance Solutions Group, a boutique legal and compliance firm. Ms. Jett holds a BA from Wesleyan University, a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
