AMLI is led by a team of accomplished executives who bring diverse professional experience in the insurance industry to the firm's management and operations.
John Ollis, President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Ollis brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in insurance sales and underwriting to his role as President and CEO of ALMI. He previously led a staff of more than 100 at the New York City sales office of UNUM, where he was responsible for annual revenues of over $500 million. He also is a former member of the Board of Directors of First UNUM.
Walt Boraczek, Vice President, Operations and Technology
Mr. Boraczek joined AMLI in 2009 following a career that included 13 years of technical and operational expertise for such firms as Prudential Securities and Knight Equity Markets. He has an extensive background in the implementation of technological solutions with a focus on application development and integration, process modeling, and, data flow management.
Tina Butler, Director of Client Services
Ms. Butler joined AMLI in 1987 and has served in several capacities prior to her promotion to Director of Client Services, including claims specialist, service representative and managed care administrator. She and her team are committed to providing a high level of service to our producers and customers.
Lorraine Classi, Executive Vice President
Ms. Classi has over 30 years experience in the life and health insurance industry. Her positions at AMLI have included those of Vice President of Claims Operation and Executive Vice President of Operations. Ms. Classi currently serves as Executive Vice President of Compliance; in that role, her efforts are dedicated to ensuring that AMLI complies with regulatory requirements, and that employee and external vendors comply with its policies and procedures.
Michael James, Executive Vice President & General Counsel
In his capacity as Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Mr. James holds primary responsibility for all legal and compliance matters. Before coming to AMLI, he spent 30 years with CIGNA, where he ultimately served as Chief Counsel for the firm’s Group Insurance division.
Scott McGregor, CPA, CFA, D.P.S., Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Before coming to AMLI, Mr. McGregor was a Senior Vice President with AXA-Equitable. With more than 30 years of professional experience, he has served as Controller for GE Asset Management; Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for First UNUM; and Vice President and Treasurer for Investors Insurance Group.
Steve Mellas, Chief Compliance Officer
Mr. Mellas joined AMLI in 2009, and has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, with expertise in finance, product development, strategic planning, and for the last ten years as a Chief Compliance officer for a major insurance company’s life, accident and disability operation.
Michael Murphy, Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer
Prior to joining AMLI, Mr. Murphy was Senior Vice President of National Accounts for Coventry Health Care. He brings a diverse healthcare and insurance background with 27 years of experience in sales, marketing, operations and underwriting for companies like CIGNA and United Healthcare.
Robert Ostrander, Executive Vice President, Chief Underwriting Officer
Mr. Ostrander has deep expertise in product development, marketing and underwriting, developed during his 40-year career in the industry. He is a former Executive Vice President of UNUM Life Insurance Company and also was a Managing Director for Corporate Compensation Plans in Danbury, Conn.
