About Our Company
American Medical and Life Insurance Company (AMLI) was incorporated in 1964 in New York as an out-of-network dental insurance alternative to a dental clinic chain founded in the metropolitan New York area. Primary customers were unions, school districts and other governmental units. The portfolio grew from dental to life insurance, stop loss and special risk products over the ensuing years.AMLI was purchased in 2006 by the TREK Corporation, a private investor group. Under the leadership of new management, AMLI re-launched itself as a specialty risk insurer with a slate of new products and services, including Limited Benefit medical insurance. We provide a basket of insurance products to meet the needs of the uninsured and underinsured who do not have access to them where they work. Our proprietary distinction is as a market-driven insurance company that specializes/focuses on providing private labeled health and welfare products to distributors with access to this large and underserved market.
